PODhouse is a German company that specialises in building tiny arched cabins for individuals and businesses alike.
PODhouse offer three models; the Menhir, Cauma, and Plaun. The Menhir and Cauma are both 3.9 meters in length, whereas the Plaun is slightly larger at 5.9 meters. Each pod is 2.6 meters from its base to the peak of the roof, allowing them to be transported via trailer to their owners site.
Their size and lightweight construction allows them to be craned or forklifted into position. Designed to sleep up to 4 people comfortably (the Plaun model), these little cabins are perfect for weekend getaways, or glamping.
Each pod features double glazed windows, FSC certified wood, integrated forced ventilation and wiring for lighting and power outlets.
The substructure is treated and contains steel rails for transporting it with a forklift. As can be seen from the pictures, the pods are designed for a cold climate with the walls, floor and ceiling being packed with insulation.

How much does one of these cost?
Hey Laurie, no price has been listed on their website but you can contact them directly here: http://podhouse.info/en/contact/
I live in the USA. Could my humble home be delivered to me? All costs are important so I woul need to know right to the penny.
Hi Coleen, we currently only offer the construction plans for the tiny houses. Sorry!
Do you sell plans for a similar arched cabin like this?
The closest plans we have to the PODHouse would be the JS Bell (found here: https://humble-homes.com/tiny-house-plans/the-js-bell-tiny-house-with-porch/), it features a curved roof. Not quite what you’re looking for, but the method of constructing the structure would be the similar to the roof – curved rafters created from plywood.
