Humble Homes was founded in 2011 by Niall Burke, a Structural Engineering student with a passion for alternative housing.

While pursuing his Master’s degree, Niall sought out a type of home that was both more affordable and eco-friendly. His search led him to the tiny house movement, where he discovered the freedom and simplicity that tiny homes on wheels could offer. Intrigued by the challenge of designing functional living spaces within such a small footprint, Niall immersed himself in the world of tiny house living.

At the time, there were few construction plans available for those looking to build their own tiny homes. Inspired by this gap in the market, Niall began designing his own plans. When he shared them online, the response was overwhelmingly positive. This encouragement motivated him to launch Humble Homes—a platform where others could access and purchase his unique tiny house plans.

Today, over a decade later, Humble Homes continues to offer thoughtfully designed tiny house plans that prioritize efficiency, sustainability, and quality of life. Niall’s mission is to help people achieve their dream of simpler, more sustainable living by providing them with the tools and plans to build their own tiny homes.
