SUBMIT A DESIGN OR PROJECT

You can now submit your design, or project to us and we’ll share it through Humble Homes. Submissions can be of any DIY projects you’ve undertaken, from a whole house, to a simple furniture piece. You can also submit a design for your dream tiny house.

Any submitted tiny house designs will be entered into a competition. The most popular design will be developed into a full set of plans that will be sent to the winner. Think of it like getting a set of custom tiny house plans for free! We require a sketch, or photo of your tiny house (floors plans and an elevation) along with a description. Get started here.

ASK A GOOD QUESTION

Another new feature. You can now ask a question, and it will be published on Humble Homes for all our visitors to answer. We’ll also chip in if we think we can help you out. Questions can be on anything related to houses, from their construction, to interior design. Get started, and ask a good question.

HUMBLE HOMES, WHAT’S UP WITH FACEBOOK?

For reasons unknown to us, Facebook has been blocking all links to Humble Homes. Links to our site have been blocked for over a year now, and unfortunately it doesn’t look it’s going to change that any time soon. There are no security issues with our site, and Facebook is the only network to ‘blacklist’ us.

We like to put a positive spin on it – we’re the number one housing website on Facebook that’s blocked.

If you’d like to try and help us out, you can fill out a form that’s available after trying to share a link on Facebook. Just click on the “let us know” of the final line in the pop-up. (Thanks if you do!)

NOT SEEING OUR UPDATES IN YOUR FACEBOOK FEED?

Facebook recently adjusted their algorithm which changes what you’ll see in your newsfeed. Chances are that you’re not seeing as many of Humble Homes’ updates. Here’s an easy way to rectify the situation:

1. Visit our page. Make sure that the “Liked” button is checked (it’s just below the main cover photo at the top of the page).
2. Mouse over the “Liked” button and make sure that “Show in News Feed” is selected.
3. In the same drop-down menu, underneath “Show in News Feed”, you will see a “Settings” option. Click on that and check “All Updates.”
