A See-Through Bathroom, For Those That Dare
I’ve seen modular living units, bedrooms and kitchens, but I’ve never seen a modular bathroom that’s also completely see-through. The “Bathroom Bubble”, designed by Messe Frankfort, is a transparent inflatable igloo-shaped bathroom, that comes with it’s own lounge chair, tub and a sink. It can be inflated and used just about anywhere – providing you’re not breaking any laws.
The unusual bathroom is part of a larger travelling exhibition called Pop Up My Bathroom, which attempts to explore the ideas and concepts behind the modern bathroom. Bathroom Bubble offers all the luxuries and relaxation of a contemporary bathroom, bar one feature – the toilet!
Inspired by a survey in which participants were asked to list the qualities of the dream bathroom, the bubble is an interpretation of the most popular feature; a room with a view that had access to a garden or a terrace. The Bathroom Bubble satisfies the criteria, and perhaps takes it to a new level with it’s 360 degree view.
If you’d like to experience the bubble for yourself it will be on display at the ISH Fair in Frankfurt from March 12/16/2013.
