General
The McG Loft is designed to maximize space and natural light, featuring a cathedral ceiling and a well-thought-out layout, perfect for comfortable living.
Living Room
The living room boasts a cathedral ceiling and is illuminated by five windows and a skylight, creating a bright and airy atmosphere. A small stainless steel fireplace serves as the home’s heating source, and the staircase, accessible from the living area, features recessed treads for convenient storage of books or small items.
Kitchen
The kitchen includes a 2-burner cooktop, Belfast sink, and under-counter refrigerator. Ample storage is provided by base and wall cabinets, as well as the compartment under the staircase. Exposed timber joists add character, while two windows provide natural light. An opening in the staircase partition allows the landing tread to double as a work surface.
Bathroom
Accessed by a bi-fold door at the rear of the kitchen, the bathroom features a toilet and shower. It can accommodate various toilet types, including standard, RV, compost, and incinerating options, along with a small sink if needed.
Sleeping/Storage Loft
The sleeping loft accommodates a full-size mattress and is naturally lit by a skylight and a picture window. The two-foot-wide staircase makes accessing the loft much easier than traditional ladders.
Trailer
This tiny house can be built on a 7′ x 20′ utility trailer, providing mobility and versatility.
