Pircher Oberland is a company that specializes in the design and development of prefabricated wood products. Their work includes indoor and outdoor furniture pieces, as well as structural building elements. They contacted Hangar Design Group to create a luxury mobile home on their behalf.
The home, called Moonriver, is part of a larger collection of high-end homes called the Movit series. The Movit series received the prestigious Compasso d’Oro (golden compass) Award, an Italian award that recognises excellence in industrial design.
According to Inhabitat, Moonriver is due to go into production, allowing you to purchase your very own cosy home. Each home will be built to CasaClima’s Class A certification, which takes into account energy-saving and ecological methods of construction, as well as the use of renewable energy sources.
